Chloe's Poem: This poem was written as part of a joint Year 12 / Year 8 display on changes in the city. Chloe's poem is unusual in that the original version was formatted in such a way as to exaggerate the geographical issues. I felt that this was a clever technique which is hard to reproduce here. The poem contains lines which are highly evocative of some of the issues that we studied. JOURNEY OF PROPERTIES For a house that's large d e t a c h e d and new The outer suburbs is the place for you. With it's w i d e open roads, it's big and spacious for peace and quiet nothing here's tasteless!
They're mainly residential, se mi de ta ch ed or terraced the houses in the inner suburbs are far less priced! Our houses here are by far the best and schools and jobs from north to east to west.
These houses are cheap small not that new but see what the inner city can do for you! With the main area just down the road, and our exotic neighbours what more to be told?
here we are at our CBD. Loads of jobs with a friendly feel It's happnin Babe right here right now, with shops and jobs but NO yobs - I vow!
